Lord Nelson Rising finds himself
transplanted from his Kensington Square estate in London to the Upper East Side of New York where one after the
other, New York City heiresses are dropping like sacks of diamonds from the top of a gilded staircase.
The Heiress Murders is one in a series of “Cocktail Murders” where Lord Rising, cocktail in hand, solves the
unsolvable crime. A contemporary bad-boy with the charm and sophistication of Dashiell Hammett's Nick Charles, the raw
anti-hero persona of actor Steve McQueen and the alpha-sexual womanizing ways of James Bond. Prior to
being kicked out of the House of Lords for bad behavior, the esteemed criminologist and author was Scotland Yard's venerated
go-to-guy for several high-profile international murder cases. His sidekick is his dramatic aunt, Lady Christine
Harrison, a once famous film actress now in her 70s, sharp witted and always in the mood for a drink, a cigarette and
the latest gossip.
The Heiress Murders includes: NYPD police corruption, an exclusive underground lesbian sex club
dating back to the 1600s, present day financial world issues, and international scenes.
