Diana Davenport was born and raised in Laguna Beach, California, and attended the
University of Southern California, where she received her Master’s degree in Professional Writing and her Bachelor’s
degree in International Relations and Journalism. She is a freelance writer, the former Founder and Editor-In-Chief of Mélange
Magazine (a California multicultural publication) and has produced two documentaries. She presently lives with her husband,
a finance executive, in New York City.

Inspiration: Ms. Davenport uses her personal
and professional background, as well as her domestic and international travels to inspire her characters and scenes.
She has worked with numerous celebrities and Forbes-list billionaires, and has interviewed several infamous criminals,
police detectives and FBI agents.
Family background: Diana's father is a Russian-Italian artist whose focus is reproductions of the
Old Masters. Her mother is a politically active Executive Director of a non-profit in Los Angeles and a close
relative of the late former President of Liberia, Africa, William Tolbert, Jr. Other notable relatives
include: Jeff Stetson, an internationally acclaimed award-winning playwright and screenwriter, and Welterweight Champion
Boxer, Sugar Shane Mosley.
